OPERATIONS SPECIALIST I

Position Summary This is the second of three non‑exempt Operations Specialist positions. The role coordinates and performs aspects of the financial cycle, processing the University's financial operations and departmental transactions. Responsibilities Audit financial documentation for approvals, accuracy, and compliance (45%) Accurately input data into the financial accounting system (25%) Customer service and respond to inquiries from internal and external customers (16%) Review and verify financial documentation (10%) Generate QMF queries (2%) Prepare journal vouchers (2%) Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Considerable knowledge of bookkeeping and business principles. Demonstrated knowledge of spreadsheet software and mainframe computer systems. Ability to effectively communicate. Physical Demands Sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time. Working Hours Full time, Monday‑Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Compensation Annual salary of $40,000. Benefits eligible.
