Family Office Accountant

A privately held, multi-generational investment organization based in Palm Beach is seeking a highly detail-oriented Accountant to join its internal finance team. This is a hands-on, high-volume role supporting a complex structure of investment entities spanning real estate, private equity, and alternative assets. The environment is fast-paced and highly confidential, requiring a strong sense of discretion, precision, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across a large number of underlying entities.This position is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting and operational finance functions across a diversified portfolio of individual, trust, and investment-related entities. The role is heavily focused on cash movement, entity-level accounting, and coordination of investment-related transactions.

• Base salary in the $90,000–$100,000 range, plus performance-based bonus and additional long-term incentive compensation.

Responsibilities:

• Processing and initiating domestic and international wire transfers across multiple entity structures

• Supporting capital call and distribution workflows for private investment vehicles, including allocation calculations and funding coordination

• Maintaining daily bookkeeping and general ledger activity across trusts, individuals, and investment entities

• Reconciliation of bank accounts, brokerage accounts, and alternative investment activity

• Tracking real estate operating expenses, capital expenditures, and investment-related cash flows

• Monitoring and coding credit card and expense activity across multiple accounts and entities

• Preparing financial reporting and supporting schedules for tax and advisory teams

• Assisting with payroll-related support functions for select household or administrative needs

• Managing payment activity related to investments, philanthropy, real estate, and personal expense structures

• Maintaining accurate and organized financial records across all assigned entities

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

• 3–8+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or audit experience

• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations

• Prior experience processing wires and managing banking activity required

• High level of comfort working across multiple entities simultaneously

• Advanced attention to detail and ability to operate in a highly confidential environment

• Strong Excel skills and ability to manage large sets of financial data

• Ability to work in-office 5 days per week in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Background:

This role is best suited for candidates with direct exposure to one or more of the following:

• Family office accounting or operations

• Private client services (HNW/UHNW individuals and trusts)

• Private equity, fund accounting, or investment operations with capital call exposure

• Outsourced accounting or client accounting services supporting high-net-worth clients

• Experience with multi-entity structures, investment partnerships, or trust-based accounting is highly desirable.
