Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift 3x12.0

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring adherence to the nursing care plan. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, playing a crucial role in patient safety and care continuity.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission to develop individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs related to the patient's diagnosis and collaborate with patients and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely patient information and status updates for initial and reevaluation team conferences.
• Engage in the patient rehabilitation program and deliver direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Maintain clear communication regarding patient status changes to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, utilizing effective delegation and organization.
• Promote personal and environmental safety in alignment with hospital policies.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning and participate in team-building activities.
• Identify personal professional growth opportunities through continuing education and self-study.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested following the orientation period.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience required.

Schedule

This position operates on a Day shift, utilizing a 3x12.0 schedule.
