Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health $20,000 Sign‑On Bonus for Night Shift with a 2‑year commitment. Schedule 3x12s, Night Shift (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.). Holidays and weekends required. About the Unit 33‑bed Behavioral Health Unit that cares for adult and geriatric patients. Staffed with RNs, CNAs, Mental Health Assistants, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals. Nurse‑to‑patient ratio is 1:6–1:9. We treat diagnoses such as major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, and substance use disorder. Patients may present with psychosis, suicidal or homicidal ideation, mania, or other exacerbations of mental illness. Responsibilities Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs. Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions. Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient. Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record. Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient. Performs timely and accurate QI assessments. Qualifications Current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license. Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. AHA Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. AHA ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire. At least one year of nursing experience preferred. Strong critical‑thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Capability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
