Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2 years of acute care experience and Epic proficiency.

Job Details

• Surgical Services unit supporting a variety of specialties including hysterectomy, gynecology, total joints, general, bariatric, Davinci Robot, ENT, thoracics, neuro spine, and plastics,
• Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday with no weekends,
• On-call requirement of up to 40 hours on a 6-week rotating schedule,
• 40 hours per week across 5 eight-hour shifts,

Job Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required,
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,
• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required,
• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required,
• Epic EMR experience required,
• Familiarity with OR specialties including hysterectomy, gyn, total joints, general, bariatric, Davinci Robot, ENT, thoracics, neuro spine, and plastics,

Additional Information

• Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation throughout the surgical process,
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and utilizes resources to support patient and family needs,
• Provides patient and family education related to care, treatment, and discharge planning,
• Mentors and precepts staff while fostering teamwork and practice governance,
• Participates in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives,
• Complies with regulatory standards and organizational policies
