Building Automation System Sales Engineer

Convergentz, a division of the Hunton Group, has an exciting opportunity for a BAS Sales Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. In this role, you’ll serve as a technical sales consultant, working with engineers, architects, owners, and developers to design, apply, and sell open-protocol Building Automation System (BAS) solutions for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.Join an industry leader consistently recognized as a Top Workplace both locally and nationally!What You’ll DoDrive sales growth by proactively identifying and pursuing opportunities for building automation solutionsConsult with engineers, architects, contractors, and building owners to influence BAS design and specificationBuild and maintain strong relationships across all levels of customer organizations—from project engineers and managers to executives and procurement teamsGenerate quotes, manage bids, negotiate pricing, and close orders in a timely and strategic mannerPresent and promote BAS offerings through formal presentations, training sessions, and on-site customer visitsMaintain up-to-date customer records, activities, and opportunities within the company CRMAttend customer events and actively participate in professional organizations such as ASHRAE and TEMA to strengthen market presence and expand your networkManage takeoffs, submittals, and coordination of construction-related sales processesCollaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project alignmentUphold the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct in all business dealingsDemonstrate flexibility by working overtime or weekends when needed to meet sales goalsWhat You’ll Bring3+ years of experience in Building Automation or HVAC construction salesSolid understanding of HVAC systems and building automation controls, with knowledge of open-protocol systemsFamiliarity with Distech Controls or similar BAS platforms is a plusStrong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skillsProven ability to manage the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting to closingHigh level of technical and business acumen, with the ability to tailor solutions to customer needsExperience using CRM software for tracking leads, activities, and pipelineA proactive, self-driven approach to sales with persistence and creativityWillingness to travel locally and represent Convergentz at customer sites and industry eventsMust be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screeningReady to help shape smarter buildings and sustainable systems?Apply today to join a team where innovation meets opportunity - and your success is our priority. #J-18808-Ljbffr The-Hunton-Group
