- Conduct assessments across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using established evaluation techniques and observations.
- Create customized treatment strategies that align with both immediate and long-term speech, cognitive, and swallowing goals.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy that targets various aspects of communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
- Work in tandem with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and families to craft integrated care plans.
- Provide educational support to patients and their families, empowering them to continue progress beyond clinical appointments.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless transitions throughout the care continuum.
- Keep precise and timely documentation consistent with relevant regulations and organizational standards.
- Stay at the forefront of the field through ongoing education and professional collaboration.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), pending ASHA certification.
- Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based therapy approaches relevant for all age groups, with comprehensive knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Outstanding communication skills for effective interactions with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- The ability to adapt therapeutic methods to suit a wide array of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills in clinical decision-making.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation requirements.
