The department is responsible for the design, development, integration, and support to production builds, and lifecycle support of Raytheon products.We have an opportunity for a Senior Principal RF Design Engineer who is seeking to utilize their academic background and professional experience in RF / Microwave system theory and design to help develop the next generation of Raytheon’s Radar Receiver, Exciter, and Transmitter products.What You Will Do:Architecture development, requirements analysis, hardware design, hands-on testing of components, circuit card assemblies, and subsystems.Design and development of transmitters, receivers, or exciters.Design and optimization of RF circuits – either chains of components (receiver, exciter, etc.) or individual parts (filters, limiters, couplers, etc.).Working with interdisciplinary teams – power, digital, mechanical, etc.Schematic capture and RF routing.Technical support during the transition to production and support to production activities.Cost and schedule management plus proposal writing.This 1st shift position will be 100% on-site & based in either Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA, with travel between multiple MA sites anticipated.Qualifications You Must Have:Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years’ of prior relevant experience.Experience with Microwave/RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design and/or test.Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, ADS, CST, and/or Mentor Graphics’ Xpedition) and analytical tools (e.g., MATLAB).The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
