Requirements:
- Hold their RPSGT+RT Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) through the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists
- 18 months Sleep Lab experience
- Respiratory Therapist licensure as required by the state in which services will be provided: WV: Licensed Respiratory Therapist Registered (LRTR) or Licensed Respiratory Therapist Certified (LRTC) through the West Virginia Board of Respiratory Care
- One (1) year of Respiratory Therapist experience
- Certification in ONE of the following through the NBRC: Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT), Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT), Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Registered Sleep Disorder Specialist (SDS)
Responsibilities:
- Perform sleep studies in accordance with policy and procedure guidelines in the Sleep Evaluation Center, at the bedside and in critical care areas of the hospital
- Assist with sleep studies on medically complex children
- Work with Respironics and ResMed equipment and Natus sleep software
- Support testing for pediatric patients within a hospital sleep lab setting
- Collaborate with hospitalist or intensivist staff as needed
