Job Description

Sheet fed, Flat Bed Die Cutter Operator experience in the folding carton industry is required .

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operates Die Cutter Machine to develop end-result printed material in accordance with customer specifications:

? Operate Die Cutter machine, troubleshoot and monitor operation.

? Prepares Die Cutter by performing a variety of tasks to produce a consistent, high quality product by adjusting the die and register for pressure and cutting.

? Perform a variety of make ready tasks for high productivity and precision operations, resolves defects and adjustments to produce high quality product.

? Oversee General technicians working on equipment.

? Make adjustments, clear jams, while processing product, maintaining speed and quality.

? Ensure efficient and rapid make ready, with unloading and loading.

QUALITY:

Ensure quality of jobs completed by reviewing for quality and accuracy.

Makes sure jobs are complete and error free.

? Ensures finished product exceeds customer expectations.

? Ensure all checklists are completed.

? Support and communicate all ISO standards and quality objectives.

? Complies with cGMP, HACCP Food Safety Requirements and Chain of Custody Program Requirements.

SAFETY:

Ensures complete adherence and compliance to the OHSE policies. Assists team members in maintaining clean and safe environment.

? Maintains and follows all company policies and procedures for safety, personal protection and hazard materials/waste handling according to established guidelines.

? Follows all personal protection procedures by use of appropriate PPE at all times.

? Follows established procedures and guidelines for the handling and disposal of all hazardous materials/waste.

? Maintains and wears proper uniform according to company policy.

? Use Company provided safety lifting equipment, i.e., hoist, jacks, vacuum manipulators, etc.

? Properly stores and arranges work area to maintain cleanliness and safe environment following all safety rules and regulations for grounding, storage, spill clean-up, etc.

Interacts with the team and co-workers in a way that promotes respect, encourages cooperation and contributes to excellent performance

? Communicates accurate information to all team members in a professional and courteous manner that conveys a willingness to assist.

? Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately.

? Develop the team and encourage each member to do what needs to be done, correctly and efficiently. Get it right the first time.

? Communicates regularly with team toward goals and required results, providing specific feedback and initiating corrective action when goals or results are not met.

? Motivate crew to improve quantity and quality of work performed and provide training as required.

? Consistently uses appropriate established channels of communication.

? Conduct team meetings when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

? High School diploma (or GED).

? Minimum of 3 years of Die Cutting experience. Bobst 104 and/or Bobst 106, preferred

? Must have interpersonal and communication skills.

? Must possess basic computer skills and mathematical skills necessary to compute percentages, weights and measures.

? Must be able to perform any and all work or additional tasks as required or requested by Department Leads, Shift Leads, or Management.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

? This position requires prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending and/or reaching, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, hearing and speaking.

? Frequent lifting in excess of 60 lbs is required.

? Must be able to hold, touch, feel and manipulate with hands product and equipment in a safe manner. Manual dexterity is required.

? Use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus as well as good eye-hand coordination.

? Must be able to rotate shifts and be available to work in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when necessary to meet customer product needs.
