Maintenance ManagerEssential Functions:Preventative Maintenance planning and executionUnplanned event responseDirect supervision and planning of the Shift maintenance teamDirect supervision and planning of the Daycrew Pool maintenance teamPart management and availabilityVendor managementContractor management as neededEnsure employees are provided appropriate recognition, guidance, and counseling on matters related to job performance and absenteeism.Maintain constructive and candid relationships by addressing opportunities in a timely manner.On shift review of critical equipment areas that service the entire plant. Implement the maintenance safety program segments.Ensure 5s standards in the maintenance area.To instigate studies and actions to overcome technical downtime problems, to reduce waste and improve team performance.To monitor, together with team members, process performance in order to identify areas for improvement, coordinating corrective actions as necessary.To instigate studies and actions to improve the efficiency of the plants building service area.To assist in the commissioning of new plant and equipment and other systems to ensure that the introduction into the production facility is handled efficiently and within minimum disruption.Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and PrinciplesOther duties as assigned by manager.Top 3 Competencies Needed for Success in the Role:Safety and Quality FocusEmpowers and DevelopsPassion for ExcellenceQualifications Required:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Equivalent ExperienceExcellent communication & human relation skills.
