Position Overview

BioMechanics Orthopedics Services Inc. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Blacksburg, Virginia. This full-time position is critical in helping our patients restore mobility, manage pain, and enhance their overall quality of life. The successful candidate will engage in variety of physical therapy techniques, working closely with patients to create individualized treatment plans that facilitate recovery and promote wellness.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our facility, allowing for hands-on interaction with patient populations in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Our office operates with standard business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, granting team members the benefit of a healthy work-life balance. Patients primarily possess private medical insurance, enabling us to offer quality care without the burden of excessive administrative hurdles that often accompany practices dealing with a more varied insurance landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations, establishing clear goals and treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring dedicated, high-quality care for each patient.
• Utilize a variety of physical therapy techniques and evidence-based practices to enhance strength, flexibility, and mobility, while minimizing reliance on medication and surgical interventions.
• Develop and implement customized fitness and wellness programs that align with patients' rehabilitation goals.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to coordinate patient care and maximize therapeutic outcomes.
• Document all services rendered, maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, and utilize electronic medical records (EMR) software such as WebPT.
• Monitor progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting care plans as necessary based on patient feedback and clinical observations.
• Promote healthy lifestyle changes and ongoing wellness to encourage long-term health improvements among patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary patient population consists of individuals seeking treatment for orthopedic conditions, many of whom are motivated to regain full function and return to their desired activities. We focus on individualized care that allows each patient to feel heard and supported throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia with no history of disciplinary actions.
• Strong manual therapy skills and a proficiency in developing effective, individualized exercise routines.
• Experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, specifically WebPT, and ability to navigate technology in patient care delivery.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient clinic, particularly in the management of sports-related injuries and post-surgical rehabilitation.
• Experience designing and implementing wellness programs and advanced therapeutic techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000–110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
