Human Resources Administrator Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Human Resources Administrator to support a busy distribution and operations environment. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support across payroll, benefits administration, HRIS management, employee records, reporting, compliance, and employee engagement activities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting, maintains a high level of confidentiality, and enjoys supporting employees while ensuring efficient HR operations
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Administration
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR files, and documentation
- Process employee transactions including new hires, status changes, benefits updates, and terminations
- Assist employees with HR-related questions and provide support regarding company policies and procedures
- Coordinate onboarding activities and ensure all required employment documentation is completed
- Support employment verification requests and other HR administrative functions
- Serve as a backup resource for HR operations across multiple distribution location s.
Payroll Administration
- Process weekly payroll and ensure timely and accurate payroll completion
- Verify employee time records and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain payroll data within the HRIS system and support payroll-related reporting
HRIS Management & Reporting
- Maintain employee information within the HRIS platform
- Generate and analyze workforce reports, including headcount, organizational charts, benefits data, and employment metrics
- Perform HRIS audits and data cleanup to ensure accuracy and data integrity
- Utilize Excel and reporting tools to provide meaningful workforce insights to management
Benefits Administration
- Support the administration of employee health and welfare benefit programs
- Process and reconcile benefit invoices
- Assist with annual open enrollment activities, employee communications, and enrollment support
- Respond to employee benefit inquiries and coordinate with benefit providers as needed
- Assist with benefit audits and reporting requirements
Compliance & Employee Relations Support
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations
- Support OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements
- Ensure HR records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and company policies
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee information and HR matters
Employee Engagement & Special Projects
- Assist with employee events, recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and community involvement activities
- Support employee incentive and recognition programs
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and HR projects
- Assist with internal communications, meeting coordination, and departmental initiatives
Qualifications
- RequiredAssociate's Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources experience.
- Experience supporting payroll administration and HR systems.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
- Human Resources Certificate or HR-related certification.
- Experience with UKG/UltiPro or similar HRIS and payroll systems.
- Experience supporting HR functions within a distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
