ProCare Therapy has an opening for a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist on a full-time contract assignment in Palo Alto, California. This position offers the opportunity to support students from preschool through 8th grade while collaborating with educators and families to promote communication development and student success. The ideal candidate is a fully credentialed SLP with experience working in school settings, and bilingual candidates are strongly preferred. Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language evaluations, assessments, and therapy services for students ages 3 through 8th grade.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students’ communication needs.
• Provide direct speech-language services while tracking student progress and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school professionals to support student goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate effectively with families and educational teams.
• Manage a caseload of up to 55 students across assigned school sites.

Qualifications:

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist license and school credential required.
• Fully credentialed SLP candidates only; CF candidates cannot be supported for this assignment.
• Bilingual SLP candidates preferred.
• Strong knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders in pediatric populations.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Licensing assistance available for qualified candidates needing support with state requirements.

Experience:

• Previous experience working with children in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred.
• Experience providing speech-language therapy services to students across a variety of age groups preferred.
• Familiarity with IEP processes and school-based documentation is beneficial.

Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time-management abilities.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and school staff.
• Flexibility and adaptability when supporting diverse student needs.

Education :

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.

Work Hours:
8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 37.5 billable hours per week (30-minute unpaid lunch)

Contract Dates:
August 4, 2026 – June 4, 2027
