PROGRAM ANALYST

Job Title

The primary purpose of this position is:

To serve as a Headquarters Air Force (HAF) strategic level planner and programmer, applying intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) and command and control (C2) mission area expertise to analyze, develop and evaluate AF C2 and ISR programs, funding solutions, force structure solutions, manpower solutions, and major command funding strategies and prioritizations. Positions requires drafting and coordinating funding options and recommendations for senior leaders to resolve AF C2 & ISR investment and sustainment challenges, and serving as C2 & ISR panel operations coordinator (POC).

Responsibilities include:

• Applying AF and military Command and Control (C2), and Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations expertise, develops, interprets, and implements policies and procedures to provide planning and programming guidance to facilitate the identification and selection of alternative ways to achieve the best mix of forces, equipment, and support attainable, within fiscal constraints, for major command and control missions and operational plans.
• Develops new methods for testing and evaluating the effectiveness of planning, programming and budget actions/ process in support of major Air Force mission and operational plans.
• Serves as primary / alternate Panel Operations Coordinator (POC).
• Maintains a continuous liaison with other Air Staff, other service headquarters counterparts, and DoD offices to integrate Air Force PPBE support actions.
