• 1.0 FTE Clinical Rheumatology position at Ochsner Medical Center
• Supervision of fellows
• Attending inpatient rheumatology consultation service in rotation with other staff rheumatologists

Clinician–Investigator Opportunity

We seek a highly motivated clinician with a strong passion for building a long‑term academic and clinical research career within a supportive academic environment.

The successful candidate will have access to structured mentorship from experienced clinician‑investigators, including guidance in study design, grant development, manuscript preparation, and career planning. Institutional support for research funding and assistance with external grant applications is available. Protected research time is offered and individualized based on prior research training, experience, and publication record. The department actively supports career advancement through academic promotion and leadership development.

Rheumatology at Ochsner Health

Ochsner Rheumatology provides high quality care to patients with inflammatory rheumatic diseases in inpatient and ambulatory settings. The department sponsors a rheumatology fellowship program and clinical research program and actively participates in multicenter trials and investigator‑initiated research. Collaborative multidisciplinary teams with nephrology, pulmonary, cardiology, and dermatology are ongoing.
