About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified PCU RN in Springfield, Illinois, 62702!

• Special Requirements: Required Work Setting Experience: Telemetry, Neuro Stepdown, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown. Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams. Required Cardiovascular Skills/Experience: Post Cardiac Angiogram, Post MI, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery, Sheath Removal, TR Band. Required Gastrointestinal Skills/Experience: Feeding tube care and management. Required Genitourinary/Renal Skills/Experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure. Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Accessing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. Required Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration, PCA, Procedural Sedation Administration, Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips. Required Neurological/Psychiatric Case Experience: Craniotomy, CVA, Pre/Post neurosurgery, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury. Required Orthopedics Case Experience: Ortho Trauma, Peripheral nerve block catheters, Total Joint Replacements. Required Plastic Surgery Case Experience: Skin grafts, Surgical drains. Required Respiratory Skills/Experience: Care of Ventilated Patient, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management. Required Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac. Cerner experience preferred. Teaching hospital experience preferred. Level I Trauma Experience preferred.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience required.
• Certs REQ: BLS and NIH required.
• ACLS preferred.
