POSITION SUMMARYPerforms structural and precision welding on geotechnical drilling equipment components using MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes to meet design specifications and quality standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESWeld structural steel assemblies per blueprints and weld procedure specifications (WPS)Set up welding equipment and select appropriate filler materialsInspect welds for defects and perform repairs as neededGrind and finish welds to specificationRead and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbolsMaintain welding equipment in good working orderFollow all safety protocols including hot work and PPE requirementsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED2+ years welding experience in a manufacturing environmentProficiency in MIG welding; TIG preferredAbility to read weld drawings and symbolsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAWS D1.1 certificationExperience welding chrome-moly or high-strength steelsTIG certificationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENTStanding 8–10 hrs/day, exposure to weld fumes, UV light, heat, and sparks.
