Senior Speech Recognition Researcher (Onsite)

Overview Principal Researcher – responsible for research, development, and implementation of novel Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) algorithms for a DoD government client in an on‑site role at RTX BBN Technologies. Responsibilities Research, develop, and implement novel algorithms to solve ASR challenges. Develop software systems to train and test ASR models. Build new ASR models using customer data and domain expertise. Interface with DoD clients supporting ASR research systems. Requirements Active, transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance (TS/SCI with Polygraph) required prior to start date. University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Python programming. Experience with the Linux command line. Experience with machine learning. Empirical research experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Bash programming. Hands‑on experience with speech recognition technologies. Experience with ESPnet. Experience with PyTorch. Knowledge of software development in Python.
