The Blow Mold Lead will be responsible for production labor staffing, efficiency, quality, and safety. This position has a working knowledge of all Blow Mold machines and will provide relief and training to operators as needed./ppEssential Job Duties and Responsibilities:/pulliCoordinates production activities related to manufacture and/or assembly, testing and packing activities as required./liliCommunicates quickly and effectively at all levels of the organization./liliPromotes Safety, Quality and Environmental awareness. Ensure safe working practices are followed and all accidents, hazards, near misses, and property damage are reported at the required time./liliEnsure production activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures, and all non-conformances are dispositioned and approved as required./liliEnsure employees are provided with clear instructions/training along with the correct tools and PPE required; explain and demonstrates Blow Molding procedures to employees needing assistance or reinforcement./liliEnsure all labor and machine attendance sheets are completed accurately and submitted as required./liliMaintain housekeeping by 6S standards in the assigned work area. Work areas must be kept free and clear of trash (paper, plastic, cups, bottles, and gloves) or any items which are not necessary to perform work assignment./liliEnsures correct Bill of Materials (BOM) and Work Order Labels are present at each process/machine./liliEnsure assembly components and materials are requested and delivered from warehouse./liliEnsures that all production is counted, tagged, and sent to the warehouse and that all unused components and materials are returned to warehouse at the end of run./liliMonitor production quantities for color change, mold change and product completion./liliEntry of process statistics and communication. Generate Oracle reports daily./liliRegularly inspects part quality at the assigned machines to assure production of acceptable quality parts in preventing mass production of defective or unacceptable parts (scrap). Unacceptable parts should be re-ground and must not be palletized./liliWrite Scrap tickets for non-conforming parts to be processed in Post Prime area, and/or oversee all scrap tickets generated during shift ensuring proper completion./liliParticipates in Continuous Improvement Initiatives./liliRun all machines and auxiliary equipment as needed./liliPerform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on blow molding and auxiliary equipment./liliSeek solutions for technical problems associated with assigned processes./liliFollows-up of trials on new processes./liliVerify manufacturing documents./liliEnsure production activities are carried out within scheduled machine and labor hours./liliPerform process verification prior to job commencement./liliCommunicates/updates machine status and unacceptable part quality to Supervisor./liliFollow Inspection and Test Plan./liliEnsure MRB is always cleared./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpWhat do we offer?/polliMedical/liliDental/liliVision/liliLife Insurance/liliShort term Long-term disability/liliAccidental death insurance/liliSupplemental life insurance/liliCompany paid holidays/liliFlexible Spending Accounts/li/olpMinimum Requirements and Qualifications/ppA suitable background would be a solid experience within the following qualifications and experiences:/pulliEducation: High School Diploma or Equivalency./liliExperience: Minimum one (1) year working in blow molding./liliEnglish language skills: Able to read, write, speak and comprehend English./liliMath skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide./liliPhysical Demands: Able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. multiple times a day during a 12-hour shift; Bend and stand in difficult positions up to 12 hours; Able to manipulate tools with both hands and stand for long hours. Minimum height requirement of 60 inches./liliWork environment: Warehouse environment hot and humid in summer months, cold in winter months. High noise requiring use of hearing protection./li/ulpTo be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies characteristics:/pulliBilingual (English/Spanish)./liliFamiliarity with industrial products./liliMechanical aptitude./liliWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Oracle./li/ulpPhysical Demands Conditions (Applicable to Igloo Operators, Technicians, Leaders, and Other Roles in Manufacturing)/ppStanding Walking Roles may involve extended periods (up to 12 hours) of standing and walking, including moving at a brisk pace and occasional stair climbing./ppPostural Requirements Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in low or awkward positions during production or maintenance tasks./ppLifting Material Handling Operator-level roles may involve lifting up to 25 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift. Technician-level roles may involve lifting up to 50 lbs. multiple times per day, including overhead lifts. Where possible, mechanical aids (e.g., hoists, forklifts) are used./ppFine Motor Skills Tool Use Use of both hands is required to operate tools, perform adjustments, and handle assembly materials with precision./ppVisual Requirements Sufficient visual acuity (e.g., 20/40 with or without correction) is necessary for tasks involving inspection and safe equipment operation./ppEnvironmental Conditions Work is performed in a production setting where seasonal temperatures may range from 100120F (with humidity) in summer to cooler conditions in winter. High noise levels are common; hearing protection is provided and required. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as ear protection, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and protective clothing may be required depending on the task./ppAdditional Job Considerations These roles can be physically demanding, involving repetitive motions and long hours.
