Payroll Manager POST NUMBER: 93842

Vaco is hiring a Payroll Manager for our client in Green Bay, WI. Approximately 925 employees . Payrolls start Monday and normally completed by Wednesday Around 60 payrolls . (manager responsible for 3 of the payrolls) Mix of: Weekly payroll Bi-weekly payroll Hourly employees Salaried employees Strong multi-state payroll experience is the top priority. Company processes payroll in nearly every U.S. state. Experience with Canadian payroll is highly preferred. Candidate does not need experience in every state but should understand multi-state payroll regulations and know how to research tax and compliance requirements. Builds and maintains a strong functional team through recruiting, training, coaching, team building, and staff development. Supervisory responsibilities consists of overseeing daily workflow of the department and three payroll employees. Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions for domestic and Canadian employees. Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions. Oversee bonus, incentive, commission and taxable fringe benefit payments and documentation. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors. Reconcile month end accounting reports for payroll, taxes, and benefits. Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures. Responsible for maintaining and conducting regular audits of workers' compensation classification codes and associated rates Serve as the business owner of the timekeeping system ensuring overall timeliness and accuracy of payroll processing for all company locations. Consult with Corporate Finance & Accounting on reporting of payroll data to the general ledger Respond to and troubleshoot questions from HR Operations, Finance & Accounting, and Payroll/HRIS team members Recommend and implement payroll process improvements and efficiencies Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
