Job Description

As a Security Officer Shopping Center Patrol Driver in Tustin, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving patrol officer at a premier retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this dynamic role, you will support a welcoming environment through strong communication, mobile patrols, and a caring, team-oriented approach grounded in integrity, reliability, and innovation.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities throughout the retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing information with management and/or public emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, parking areas, storefront corridors, and perimeter access points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assist with access control practices, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Support opening, closing, and after-hours security-related activities for the location, including checking assigned areas, following post orders, and providing visible presence during peak business periods and special events.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
