Title Payroll and Patient Medical Bill Technician - AOS lll State Role Title Admin and Office Spec III Hiring Range Salary Range: $51,176/yr. to $70,623/yr. Pay Band 3 Agency Dept Behavioral Health/Develop Location Southwestern VA Mtl Hlth Inst Agency Website Recruitment Type General Public - G Job Duties To ensure proper handling of fiscal transactions according to Federal, State, and Facility policies and regulations; to ensure the integrity of the fiscal system through inventories, reconciliation, and reporting procedures; and in Compliance with the Commonwealth’s Prompt Pay Act. Minimum Qualifications Clerical experience required. Additional Considerations High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in payroll, accounts payable, accounting, or other financial transaction processing preferred. Experience using automated payroll, timekeeping, or financial systems preferred. Experience in healthcare financial operations, patient billing, medical billing, insurance claims, or third-party payer processes preferred. Experience using an electronic health record (EHR) or similar healthcare information system preferred. Experience researching and resolving complex financial, payroll, billing, or account discrepancies preferred.
