RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.

Weekend schedule: Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Community hospital experience required.

The expected start date is based on Novant's schedule but is subject to change depending on class and trainer availability. Travelers may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week, and must be fully available with no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes. Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start. Novant will confirm the final start date on the Tuesday prior to the start week.

Required skills/certs/exp:

• Minimum years of experience: 2 years experience required
• Traveler experience: Unit will accept 1st time travelers
• Locals accepted / rate difference: Yes
• Work settings skills required: Adult acute care, adult outpatient, bedside/portable procedures, emergency department, ICU & operating room
• Abdomen/GI skills required: Abdomen decubitus, abdomen supine (KUB) & abdomen upright
• Chest & thorax skills required: Chest routine
• Enema studies skills required: Barium enema-air contrast & barium enema-single contrast
• Fluoroscopy studies skills required: Barium swallow/esophagus, contrast enema & upper GI series
• Head skills required: Orbits & skull
• Lower extremity skills required: Ankle, femur, foot, knee & tibia-fibula
• Mobile/surgical skills required: C-arm procedure, portable abdomen & portable chest
• Professional knowledge and skills required: Preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Spine and pelvis skills required: Cervical spine, lumbar spine & thoracic spine
• Upper extremity skills required: Clavicle, elbow, forearm, hand, scapula, shoulder & wrist
• Additional skills required: GE OEC C-arm / Carestream portable
• Certs: ARRT R, BLS preferred

Special procedures/unit details:

Acute care facility with a radiology department that is full service except for IR. Department performs 50-70 procedures normally per day M-F and 30-50 per day on weekends. We do perform specialized and diagnostic testing to include (but not limited to) diagnostic XR (outpatient and inpatient) FL (Picc lines, lumbar punctures, MBS, BE's, etc.) OR and ED exams.

Special equipment: PACS, EPIC, Samsung XR, Siemens XR/FL, Carestream portables, Schimadzu XR

Unit systems: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

Scheduling type: Per unit needs

Weekend schedule: Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Unit orientation: Up to 2 weeks of orientation, shift: Fri/Sat/Sun 7p-7a 3rd shift

Scrubs: Not provided. Royal blue
