Job Description
Join our dynamic team in the receiving department, operating cherry pickers to efficiently handle product movement. Your role will involve utilizing RF scanners and systems to manage inventory, ensuring accurate and timely shipping processes.
Responsibilities

• Operate cherry pickers for product retrieval and storage.
• Use RF scanners to track inventory and pull items for shipping.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull weights ranging from 40 to 70 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Engage in frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, and reaching activities.
• Work independently and solve problems as they arise.
• Participate in on-the-job training to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for safety and efficiency.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in operating forklifts and cherry pickers.
• Experience with order picking and using RF scanners.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• General warehouse experience, particularly in the picking department.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with computers and scanning equipment.
• Comfort with working at heights (15-20 ft racking).
• Ability to work overtime on weekdays and weekends as required.

Work Environment
Our distribution center serves the scientific community, sending equipment to schools, hospitals, and medical labs. Work alongside a team of 100-120 employees, divided into receiving, picking, and shipping teams. Expect a shift from Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm, with potential for 10-hour days early in the week, averaging 45 hours weekly. Comfort with working at heights is essential, as racking is 15-20 ft into the air. Forklift recertification is provided.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nazareth, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
