Responsibilities
- Perform MRI exams across brain, spine, joints, and other body regions according to physician orders, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images and patient safety.
- Prepare the examination room, verify patient identity and orders, position patients and coils, and manage contrast administration as indicated by the protocol.
- Monitor patients throughout the MRI procedure, respond promptly to discomfort or adverse events, and enforce MRI safety protocols in a calm, coordinated manner.
- Verify imaging orders and patient demographics in the electronic medical record (Epic), and document procedures and images with accurate labeling and connectivity to radiology reports.
- Collaborate with radiologists and the radiology team to optimize protocols and improve image quality; participate in image review processes as appropriate.
- Maintain MRI equipment and room readiness, report malfunctions, conduct routine quality control checks, and uphold infection control and safety standards.

Requirements
- Active ARRT or ARMRIT license; MR advanced licensure required
- BLS certification required
- MRI Tech Certification Verification (Equivalency) and Philips experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
- Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist experience; teaching hospital experience preferred; prior travel experience preferred
- Reliable transportation required due to limited public transit in the area
