Role Description

The Regional Director is a full-time, on-site role based in Louisville, KY, responsible for overseeing regional operations, client relationships, and growth initiatives. This role includes managing key accounts, developing and executing regional business strategies, and ensuring high-quality service delivery across waste and recycling programs. The Regional Director will lead and support local teams, coordinate with haulers and vendors, and monitor performance metrics to meet efficiency, sustainability, and cost-saving targets. Day-to-day tasks involve prospecting and onboarding new clients, negotiating contracts, resolving operational issues, and aligning regional activities with company goals. The Regional Director will also collaborate with senior leadership on forecasting, budgeting, and continuous improvement efforts within the region.
Qualifications

Strong leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, coaching, and performance oversight.
Business development and account management skills, including client relationship building, contract negotiation, and sales strategy execution.
Operational and project management skills, such as planning, process improvement, and coordinating multi-site or multi-vendor services.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data, track KPIs, and develop cost-effective solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of waste management, recycling, logistics, or related industries is highly beneficial.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Environmental Studies, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Ability to work on-site in Louisville, KY, with regional travel as needed.
Proficiency with common business software (e.g., CRM tools, spreadsheets, and presentation software).
