Project Manager

Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States Schedule: Hybrid - Will need to plan on being onsite at least 3 days per week. Key Responsibilitie sDevelop project scopes and coordinate cross-functional teams responsible for engineering, scheduling, estimating, procurement, and construction activities

• Manage projects through engineering, design, installation, testing, commissioning, startup, and project closeout
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company standards
• Oversee project expenditures and support the cost-effective procurement of labor, equipment, materials, and contractor services
• Participate in bid meetings, supplier evaluations, and contractor selection processes
• Support the daily management of construction activities and coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and service providers
• Monitor project performance and proactively manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and change control processes
• Communicate project status, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders and leadership
• Interface with internal departments, operations personnel, engineering teams, suppliers, contractors, and labor organizations
• Evaluate project risks and implement mitigation strategies to support successful project outcomes
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, regulatory, and company requirements
• Perform detailed analysis of project estimates versus actual costs and identify opportunities for improvement
• Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision

Required Qualificatio nsCandidates must meet one of the following qualification s:Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field, and a minimum of 6 years of project management experience; ORAssociate degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Architecture, Technical Design, Project Management, Business, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or a related field, and a minimum of 8 years of related project management experience; ORHigh School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of related project management experienc e.Required Skills & Experien ceStrong familiarity with gas utility construction projects and industry best practice s.Demonstrated experience managing capital construction projects from initiation through completio n.Ability to apply formal project management methodologies, analytical techniques, and problem-solving processe s.Proven leadership skills with the ability to direct project teams and drive successful project outcome s.Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skill s.Ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently in a fast-paced environmen t.Preferred Qualificatio nsProject Management Professional (PMP) certificatio n.Utility industry operations experienc e.Experience utilizing Primavera P6 for project scheduling and control s.Ability to effectively navigate and lead crucial conversations with stakeholders, contractors, and business partner s.Experience analyzing project metrics related to schedules, budgets, performance, and deliverable s.Experience presenting project updates, strategic plans, and recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholder esProject Planning & Executi onConstruction Manageme ntBudget & Cost Contr olSchedule Manageme ntChange Manageme ntContractor Manageme ntStakeholder Communicati onLeadership & Team Coordinati onContinuous Improvement & Problem Solvi #J-18808-Ljbffr The Planet Group
