Valley City for

3rd shift Machine Setup Operators

Candidates with a background in automotive maintenance (ASE Certified Mechanics), those with Mechanical or Technological aptitude (robots!), and reliable, coachable individuals who possess a strong work ethic are STRONGLY encouraged to apply! The right candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to think on their feet, and the capability to trouble shoot to avoid problems before they arise.

3 rd Shift – 11:00pm – 7:00am

$22-24/ hr to start.

Occasional Voluntary Saturday Overtime.

Temp-To-Hire – Hired after approximately 90 days.

Must be willing to submit to Nationwide Background Check and Drug Test.

Machine Setup Operator

POSITION SUMMARY:

Set up induction machines to run consistently and error free to meet quality standards. The Machine Setup employee will use mechanical skills, setup cards, and obtained knowledge to ensure that the machines run at 100% efficiency to produce high-quality detailed parts based on established standards, guidelines, and procedures.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Support Client's Strategic Foundations.
• Work productively, efficiently, and timely to meet customer needs.
• Ensure all quality requirements are met and machine can run without getting a first inspection shut down.
• Ensure all machines are running at or above 100% efficiency.
• Work with and instruct operators to observe machine operation with awareness of machine malfunction and/or operator error. Follow established standards, guidelines, or procedures to report issues.
• Maintain and care for equipment and tooling within specified guidelines.
• Effectively communicate and cooperate with team members.
• Maintain accurate documentation including set up cards and machine logs.
• Actively participate in and maintain Company Safety and Housekeeping standards.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

• 100% Consistent error free work

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical skills
• General electrical and hydraulic knowledge
• Able to operate independently as well as part of a team
• Must be able to successfully communicate with other team members to ensure customer requirements are met
• Ability to read and follow Work Instructions
• Demonstrate steady, methodical, error-free work output

MACHINES/EQUIPMENT/TOOLS/WORK AIDES:

Will be trained on proper use of required machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Bending, stooping, standing, walking on hard surfaces
• Ability to lift, up to 50 pounds throughout the shift
• Ability to work overtime as necessary
• Ability to work in hot environment
• Ability to use hands and arms to operate equipment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Shop environment - Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
