Receiving Clerk / Warehouse Associate

Location: San Marcos, TX
Job Type: Contract (3-4 Weeks, with potential for extension)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour

Overview

An immediate opening is available for a Receiving Clerk / Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, are comfortable with physical activity throughout the day, and have basic computer skills.

The selected candidate will be responsible for receiving incoming shipments, processing deliveries, entering shipment information into computer systems, and helping ensure packages are accurately routed to their final destinations.

Key Responsibilities

Unload incoming shipments from various delivery carriers
Receive and inspect packages upon arrival
Scan barcodes and tracking information into company systems
Enter shipment and receiving data accurately
Match purchase orders and shipment information
Sort and organize packages for distribution
Label packages and stage them for delivery drivers
Maintain accurate receiving records and documentation
Assist with general warehouse operations as needed
Follow all safety procedures and warehouse guidelines

Qualifications

Required

Ability to work in a warehouse environment
Ability to lift, move, and handle packages throughout the shift
Basic computer and data entry skills
Strong attention to detail
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver's license

Preferred

Shipping & Receiving experience
Warehouse or distribution center experience
Inventory control experience
Experience using barcode scanners or inventory systems
Experience with logistics, fulfillment, or material handling operations

Work Environment

Combination of warehouse and office-based tasks
Casual work environment
Closed-toe shoes required
Free parking available
No forklift operation required for this assignment
Training provided on internal systems and procedures

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, comfortable performing physical work, and capable of accurately processing shipment information using a computer. Candidates with warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, distribution center, retail stockroom, or fulfillment experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
