Pyrometry Technician – 1st Shift | $52K–$73K/year | Berlin, CT

We are seeking an experienced Pyrometry Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Berlin, CT. This role is ideal for someone with a background in heat treat, thermal processing, calibration, or quality systems who enjoys hands-on technical work and ensuring equipment meets strict industry standards.

As a Pyrometry Technician, you will play an important role in maintaining furnace accuracy, performing temperature testing, and supporting quality requirements for customer projects.

Location: Berlin, CT
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay: $52,000-$73,000/year DOE

What You'll Do:

• Perform temperature uniformity surveys, system accuracy checks, and equipment calibrations
• Prepare furnaces and equipment for testing
• Build and maintain test racks and thermocouples
• Maintain and certify pyrometry equipment and instrumentation
• Complete and review detailed quality documentation
• Ensure testing and processes meet BQS, AMS 2750, customer specifications, and internal procedures
• Monitor equipment performance and communicate any concerns or discrepancies
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment

What We're Looking For:

• 3+ years of experience in thermal processing or heat treat manufacturing
• Experience with pyrometry, furnace testing, calibration, or quality systems
• Knowledge of AMS 2750 and customer pyrometry specifications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with technical documentation
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Experience using Microsoft Office and database systems
• Ability to work independently while maintaining quality standards

Additional Requirements:

• Must meet ITAR compliance requirements (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment
• Must be available for overtime or occasional weekend work as needed
• Travel to regional facilities may be required
