About This Role The Travel Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) will perform an age-specific plan of care for patients using the nursing process. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who excel in a collaborative environment and are skilled in patient assessment and care coordination. Highlights Pay: $4,300+/Week Location: Forest Hills, NY Facility: Northwell Health Schedule: Full-Time What You’ll Do Assess the patient’s physiologic health status. Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures. Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status. Determine mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition. Assess level of pain and pain management. Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care. Elicit perception of medical/nursing care and expectations. Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes. Identify actual/potential patient problems and needs for teaching. Implement the plan of care and maintain constant vigilance over patient care. Requirements Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of professional nursing experience in the related specialty. Licenses & Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
