The Account Representative is a hybrid customer service and inbound sales role focused on personal lines, hobby farms, and life & health insurance. This position requires strong communication, accurate servicing, and the ability to recommend insurance solutions while managing service and inbound sales in a fast paced environment. The role works closely with sales staff and serves as a key point of contact for clients and new inbound calls

ResponsibilitiesClient Service
-Serve as a primary client contact by phone, email, and in person
-Process policy changes, ID cards, vehicle updates, certificates, and other service requests
-Assist with renewals, coverage reviews, and account retention
Sales & Account Growth
-Handle inbound leads for personal, hobby farm, life, and health insurance
-Identify client needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions
-Cross-sell and upsell insurance products
-Prepare and present new business and rewrite quotes
Challenges of the Role
-Managing multiple quotes, service requests, and deadlines simultaneously
-Balancing customer service with sales expectations
-Identifying accounts that require deeper review or specialist involvement
-Maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment
-Remaining resilient and motivated when facing rejection
-Exercising good judgment on accounts that fit agency goals
RequirementsRequired
-Property & Casualty insurance license (or willingness to obtain)
-Life & Health insurance license (or willingness to obtain)
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Excellent organizational and time management abilities
-Attention to detail and accuracy
-Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn agency systems
Preferred
-Previous insurance experience
-Experience in customer service, sales, banking, finance, or another client-focused industry
-Knowledge of personal lines, farm, or life & health insurance
