Industrial Mechanic / Machinery Maintenance Technician

Location: Siler City, NC 27344
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract to hire
Pay: Competitive / Based on Experience

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable Industrial Mechanic / Machinery Maintenance Technician to support the assembly, maintenance, repair, and installation of industrial machinery and material-handling systems.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills and experience troubleshooting and maintaining equipment such as conveyors, motors, drives, bearings, gearboxes, and other mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble, install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and identify equipment failures.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
Work with conveyors, drives, bearings, gearboxes, motors, shafts, and related mechanical components.
Use hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and mechanical equipment safely.
Assist with machinery installation and equipment commissioning.
Disassemble and rebuild mechanical components as required.
Align shafts, components, motors, and mechanical assemblies.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, and equipment specifications.
Assist fabrication and production teams with mechanical assembly.
Maintain accurate work areas and follow established safety procedures.
Follow lockout/tagout and other applicable safety procedures.

Qualifications

3–5 years of industrial mechanical, maintenance, machinery assembly, or related experience preferred.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and diagrams.
Experience working with industrial machinery and mechanical systems.
Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
Ability to work safely around heavy machinery and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic.
