Mammography Technologist Travel Assignment

Join our team as an experienced Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment in Marble Falls, TX. In this role you will perform mammographic and bone densitometry examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease and bone health. You will work with a small imaging team and use Hologic Selenia Dimensions 3D Mammography and Hologic Horizon DXA systems to deliver quality imaging services and patient-centered care.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Mammography (M) certification.
• Proficiency in diagnostic and routine breast imaging.
• Experience with DEXA (bone densitometry) procedures.
• Minimum 2 years of mammography technologist experience.
• Familiarity with Hologic Selenia Dimensions 3D Mammography System and Hologic Horizon DXA System.
• BLS certification.
• Ability to perform routine and diagnostic breast imaging scheduling cadence: routine imaging approximately every 30 minutes and diagnostic imaging approximately every 40 minutes. DEXA scans approximately every 20 minutes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a hospital imaging department or similar acute care setting.
• Experience working with a small team of technologists and schedulers.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 07:0019:30.
• Work schedule follows a Days shift pattern.
• Will work alongside one scheduler and one other technologist.

You will contribute to patient diagnosis and treatment by producing high-quality mammograms and bone density studies. Responsibilities include patient identification and education, positioning, radiation protection, equipment maintenance, quality control, charting, and forwarding completed studies to radiologists for interpretation.
