General Manager (Wauwatosa)

Description

The General Manager (GM) oversees the daily operations of a Toppers Pizza store location, including the selection, development, and performance management of Team Members. In addition, they oversee the inventory and ordering of food and supplies, optimize profits, and ensure that guests are satisfied with their experience. The GM promotes the Toppers Pizza Mission and Core Values and assists in setting the standard for the restaurant through leadership by example.

Financial

• Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs.
• Responsible for ensuring that all financial and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Utilization of our in-house POS to record sales and other operations, control costs, and monitor the performance of the store. Our in-house POS comes with outstanding support from IT and other internal departments.

Food Safety & Planning

• Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
• Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service.
• Maintain professional restaurant image, including proper uniforms and appearance standards.
• Supervise portion control and quantities of preparation to minimize waste.
• Estimate food needs and costs, place orders with distributors, and schedule the delivery of fresh food and supplies.

Operational

• Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect Team Members, guests, and company assets.
• Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Completes accident reports promptly if a guest or Team Member is injured.
• Manage shifts which include: daily decision making, scheduling, and planning while upholding standards, product quality, and cleanliness.
• Maintain fast, accurate service, positive guest experiences, and ensure products are consistent with company quality standards.
• Resolve all guest complaints through BLAST and honoring the guarantee.
• Develops, oversees, and assists in local store marketing efforts while maintaining brand standards.
• Ensure building, equipment, furniture, and fixtures are in good repair, clean, and maintained on a regular basis.
• Know your area and community and be actively engaged in what's happening around you.

Personnel

• Provide direction to Team Members regarding operational and procedural concerns.
• Develop Team Members by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations, and conducting performance reviews.
• Use the Crown Academy (LMS) and included resources to elevate the training and development of your team.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of store staffing needs.
• Prepare schedules and ensure that the restaurant is staffed for all shifts.
• Interview Team Members, conduct orientation, explain Toppers Pizza's Core Values, and oversee the training of new Team Members.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required
• 2+ years of experience managing others
• Successfully pass a background check
• Must have a reliable source of transportation
• Must be Food Manager Certified and uphold all Food Manager safety guidelines
