Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary Join our dedicated healthcare team in Johnson City, NY, where you will be pivotal in ensuring timely, accurate, and reliable Respiratory Therapy services. Our services cater to inpatients, outpatients, UHS staff, employees, and affiliated UHS community groups as needed. Job Responsibilities Administer respiratory therapy procedures. Perform Aerosol Therapy, CPT/Flutter/PEP Mask therapy, and Incentive Spirometry. Conduct M.D.I. therapy, suctioning, and extubation procedures. Ensure Oxygen Tank Safety and perform Oxygen Therapy on approved devices. Manage BiPAP-CPAP therapy and alarms. Perform Cough Assist/Vest therapy and manage High Flow Cannula/Humidifier therapy. Conduct Pulmonary Function Screen diagnostics and Fit Testing with Employee Health. Perform Pulse Oximetry and EKG procedures for adults and pediatrics. Manage Mechanical Ventilation and Ventilator Alarms. Conduct Arterial Puncture and Analysis for the Blood Gas Laboratory. Manage healthcare information systems and medication programs. Verify physician’s orders for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Record and report procedure results appropriately. Perform BLS when necessary and maintain departmental standards. Engage in departmental in-service programs and other assigned duties. Required Skills & Experience Up to three years of experience. Attention to Detail, Collaboration, and Communication skills. Preferred Skills & Experience One year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist. Schedule Notes Nights and every other weekend; 36 hours/week for 13 weeks.
