Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team in a challenging and rewarding role within a Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). This position requires a commitment to providing exceptional care for critically ill newborns and infants. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in NICU settings and a strong background in surgical nursing.

Job Details

Location: Multiple satellite locations available in California
Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) / Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)
Start Dates: October 12 or November 9
Contract Duration: 13 or 18 weeks
Work Schedule: Variable Day/Night shifts or straight nights required
Holiday Requirements: Must work 2 of the following 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Holiday requests off are not permitted.
Experience Required: 2 years of NICU Level 4 or strong Level 3 surgical experience
Licensure: California RN License required; pending applications accepted with an ETA for posting
Weekend Availability: Must be flexible to work weekends as needed

Qualifications

Current National Certifications: BLS, Advanced NRP; PALS preferred
Ability to float between units, including PICU & CVICU, as well as NICU satellite campuses
Must have own transportation
Experience with various NICU equipment and procedures, including:
- Oscillator, conventional ventilator, CPAP, Nasal Cannula
- PICC lines, Broviacs, UAC, UVC, PAL lines, trachs, ostomies, and G-Tubes
- Comfort with line changes that involve multiple drips
- Pre and post-operative care
