Location North Kansas City, MO Workplace Type On Site Role Overview As the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS) Manager, you will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s EHSS systems, focusing on reporting mechanisms, KPI communication, and alignment with corporate standards. The position works closely with the Corporate EHSS team and site leadership to promote operational excellence across all EHSS domains. Key Responsibilities Collaborate closely with Plant Management teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement in environmental, health, safety, and sustainability (EHSS) practices across all sites. Leverage tools such as Power BI to streamline data visualization, improve reporting accuracy, and drive performance through actionable insights. Stay ahead of emerging industry trends, regulatory changes, and operational risks, proactively advising on potential impacts and mitigation strategies. Use strong interpersonal and communication skills to ensure EHSS programs are clearly understood, embraced, and effectively implemented at all levels of the organization. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with functional leaders in Operations, HR, Continuous Improvement, and other key areas to integrate EHSS into broader business strategies. Serve as a key liaison between site leadership and the Corporate EHSS team to align goals, share best practices, and elevate performance across all EHSS domains. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety, Occupational Health, or a related field; alternatively, a recognized Environment Health and Safety Management certificate may be considered. Progressive EHSS experience in a manufacturing plant or corporate environment, with demonstrated ability to implement safety programs and drive compliance. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrates a strong work ethic and an initiative-taking approach to achieving goals with minimal supervision. Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels. Applies critical thinking and data-driven analysis to identify risks, solve problems, and support decision-making. Builds strong cross-functional relationships and fosters collaboration across departments to drive shared success. Proficient in using digital tools and systems, including Microsoft Office and data platforms like Power BI; experience with Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies is a plus.
