Master Technician, Field Service

This position is for a Senior Field Technician in Aftermarket and Service who is under minimal supervision and works more independently. Conducts and/or oversees equipment inspection and repair activities on a regular basis to ensure proper functioning. Responsible for on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration after installation. Solves highly complex problems and serves as a resource on varied tasks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain building automation systems assigned to per the service agreement during a service visit Troubleshoot issues that come up in the service visit and repair as needed or directed by the owner Respond to emergency service calls in a timely manner Assist with startup, commission and re-commission of customer systems that utilize pneumatic / electrical / electronic technology Maintain accurate As-Built drawing package and make changes in Visio, Excel, Word, as required Responsible for calibration of systems requiring basic electronic test equipment, such as multi-meters, network terminals and/ or a laptop computer Assist in static (stand-alone) and dynamic (total building interactive network) commissioning of software programming Assist in the set-up of operator workstations with all associated software Responsible for performing job database backups on a daily basis or as advised

QUALIFICATIONS

High school Diploma or GED 2+ Years’ Experience in low voltage Controls DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC 2+ Years’ Experience in HVAC 2+ Years reading Multimeater 2+ Years’ Commissioning and Re-Commissioning 6+ months experience in basic control logic concept Must be able to possess and maintain valid and current Driver’s License and be insurable by our company’s insurance carrier Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Personable and be willing to work directly with the customers on site staff Troubleshooting skills of DDC systems, low voltage control systems, DDC systems and computer networks Knowledge in /Control preferred Prior experience in HVAC and/or Building Automation preferred AA/AS degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Other post high school training HVAC or Controls Tradeschool (two years duration) Knowledge in turnover of construction projects to the service department Ability to Track and record job progress and keep lead project personnel informed on progress Ability to Keep project management apprised of concerns and issues Ability to Complete paperwork on-time including time sheets, expense reports, posting of work orders, on-site documentation and project status reports Ability to Communicate with lead project personnel upon arrival and before leaving the work site Ability to travel in excess of 50% of typical work week, mostly local travel and seldom overnight hotel stays Ability to be physically capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment in excess of 8 feet above grade #J-18808-Ljbffr Carrier
