This role leads the Enablement Engineering team within Technology, People, Innovation & Learning (TPIL), reporting to the Senior Director of TPIL Learning, and is central to driving Salesforce's AI adoption journey across the Technology & Products (T&P) organization.This is a player-coach role. You'll set the vision and direction for the team, develop and grow your engineers, and still roll up your sleeves to build and facilitate world-class technical enablement yourself. You know how to lead, but you haven't lost the hands-on instincts that made you good at this work.What You'll Actually Be DoingLead, coach, and develop a team of Enablement Engineers — setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, supporting career growth and fostering a collaborative, high-standards team cultureDrive team priorities and workload planning in alignment with broader T&P learning strategy and represent the team and its impact with senior stakeholdersPartner with the Senior Director of TPIL Learning to shape the enablement engineering strategy and roadmap.Develop and facilitate live and virtual technical enablement sessions for Salesforce engineers and technical audiences — making complex AI and platform concepts accessible and actionable.You're Our Person If...You have proven experience leading and managing technical teams — you know how to hire well, develop people, and build a team that does their best work.You have hands-on software engineering experience — you write code, not just read it. Proficiency in at least one language (Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar) is required.You have solid understanding of software development fundamentals: version control (Git), application programming interfaces (APIs), debugging, and the software development life cycle (SDLC).You have proven experience presenting and facilitating to technical audiences — you're energized by a room, not intimidated by it. The typical base salary range for this position is $171,200 - $273,000 annually.
