Start Over with Job Search Returning Applicant? Login Now The Advanced Practice Clinician - PA-C is responsible for providing primary medical care to patients. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Practice medicine within the scope of the primary care program. Analyze medical history, reports, findings of tests, and examination to determine conditions/diagnosis and provide appropriate treatments. Promote health by advising patients about diet, behaviors, and methods for prevention of disease. Perform procedures within scope of primary care program and the providers surgical competency/privileges. Refer patients to medical specialist for consultant services when necessary. Assist in outreach efforts as requested. Share in the after-hours calls as appropriate. Familiar with using electronic health record (Ex. Athena). Monitor, and where applicable, oversee relevant provider and care staff to ensure delivery of care. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no direct reports. Work Environment and Physical Demands With multiple locations and settings, PCHS’ work environment and physical demands vary greatly depending on the employee’s role. Essential job functions include the following: The employee is required to talk, hear, see, smell, sit and stand. The employee is frequently required to move around the facility; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
