Safety & Compliance Manager

Job Description

Mahal Bros Transport is a fast-growing produce carrier operating across all 48 states. We’re looking for a hands-on Safety & Compliance Manager who can take ownership of our safety program, protect our CSA score, and keep our operation running clean and compliant.

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who knows DOT/FMCSA inside and out and isn’t afraid to hold drivers and staff accountable.

What You’ll Do

Own and manage all DOT/FMCSA compliance
Monitor CSA scores, inspections, and violations
Oversee ELDs, logbooks, and Hours of Service
Hire, onboard, and manage drivers
Investigate accidents, claims, and handle disputes
Prepare for and manage DOT audits
Oversee fleet safety and maintenance compliance
Track fuel usage and identify inefficiencies
Lead safety meetings and conduct regular safety training for drivers and shop staff
Review driver performance (monthly/quarterly) and enforce accountability

What We’re Looking For

3+ years in trucking safety & compliance
Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations
Experience managing CSA scores, audits, and violations
Leadership mindset – not afraid to enforce standards
Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
Class A license is preferred.
