Please review the job details below and then click “apply.” We're looking for someone to join our team as a Facilities Supervisor who: Under the general direction of the Facilities Manager, the person handling this position is responsible for operational activities of the Maintenance Department of all sites. The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for managing all Maintenance Department personnel and working with the Facilities Manager in planning, budgeting and scheduling work and projects for each health center, including estimates on equipment, labor materials and other related costs. The supervisor must be familiar with standards for state, federal and private facilities as well as applicable healthcare facilities industry standards for organizations such as the American Institute of Architects, Americans with Disabilities Act, Environmental Protection Agency, National Fire Protection Association, Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Supervisor is also responsible for developing and keeping within the operating budget. The Supervisor must be able to negotiate service agreements that meet the facility's budgetary goals. Policies concerning human resources are set out, and adherence to those policies is controlled by the Facilities Supervisor. Essential Functions: Oversee daily department operations in accordance with established policies and procedures and within contractual or license requirements. Ensure clear communication exists between the division and CSV corporate branches, divisions and departments. Review policies and procedures, recommend new policies, and suggest changes as needed. Fill in for the Facilities Manager as assigned or needed. Work with Nursing Supervisor, Quality Improvement Director, and Emergency Management to address Joint Commission elements of care. Survey facilities to capture/report current conditions. Participate on committees as assigned and in local health care emergency preparedness activities. Oversee building space allocation and layout, and facility expansions. Conduct periodic inspections, evaluate repairs, project job costs, and oversee implementation of approved procedures to ensure efficient operation of assigned buildings. Maintain relationships with all department units to anticipate service needs and avoid crises. Plan budget and schedule facility modifications, including cost estimates, in conjunction with the Facilities Manager. Supervise and train staff in approved facility maintenance practices and safety procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Manage plant operations at all locations, maintain equipment, and oversee preventive maintenance of HVAC and office equipment. Hire, direct, and evaluate department staff; conduct performance appraisals, maintain time and attendance records, and handle disciplinary issues of building service staff. Ensure HIPAA compliance and treat all member information confidentially. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. Participate in QA/QI activities and contribute to overall performance improvement of the organization. Learn and use facility management platforms. Perform other related work as directed by the Facilities Manager. You'll be successful with the following qualifications: Graduate from a two (2) year college with a major in Business Administration or a related field. Experience and training may substitute for a college degree; each two years of experience in a responsible position in the housekeeping field as a full-charge facilities supervisor or similar position will be substituted for one year of college education. Other related education, training, and experience will be considered. Having three (3) years of experience in a responsible position in the medical field, hospitality field, or closely related industry is preferred. Knowledge of contract bidding process (request for proposals, etc.) to expedite contractor evaluations. Strong professional and diplomatic communication skills, ability to handle and communicate details promptly. Experience drafting and evaluating corporate documents, contracts, including leases. Knowledge of the mission and role of community health centers. Must adhere to Clinica Sierra Vista’s employee health/immunization requirements or provide a valid exemption request for approval.
