About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Neuro/PCU (Stepdown)

Lancaster, SC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Neuro/PCU stepdown unit with a 1:4–5 patient ratio
• Monitor and assess patients requiring intermediate care and neurological observation
• Perform telemetry monitoring in accordance with unit competency requirements
• Float within scope to like units or sister facilities as needed to meet staffing demands
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as required, including during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a relevant clinical setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Demonstrated telemetry competency required
• No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health records charting system
• Background in neurological or progressive care unit nursing
• Flexible scheduling availability to accommodate unit staffing needs
