Job Title

Registered Nurse – Neuro/PCU (Stepdown)

Location

Lancaster, SC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Neuro/PCU stepdown unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5
• Monitor and assess neurological and progressive care patients, responding to changes in condition
• Perform and interpret telemetry monitoring as required by unit needs
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Float within scope to like units or sister facilities as needed to meet staffing demands
• Participate in emergency response team assignments as required, including during hurricane season (June–November)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Neuro/PCU or comparable stepdown setting
• Active South Carolina RN license or valid Compact license — must be in hand prior to start date
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Telemetry competency required
• No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic charting system
• Demonstrated flexibility with scheduling to meet unit needs
• Familiarity with neurological patient populations and progressive care protocols
