Job Summary:

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and contributing to the strategic planning for the production area. This role involves guiding and motivating the production leadership team, ensuring proper onboarding and training for production staff, and managing performance. The Manager will work closely with the Planning, Quality, and Fulfillment teams to optimize production lines, meet work order completion dates, and maintain quality standards. Adherence to SOPs and safety protocols is required, as is coordination of work order completion and accurate documentation.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

. Oversee the performance and development of production staff, including supervisors, line leads, and team members.

. Manage hiring, coaching, evaluating, and termination processes based on input from supervisors and line leads.

Duties/Responsibilities:

. Train and evaluate production staff on all shifts.

. Maintain a positive and safe work environment with clear communication, feedback, and teamwork.

. Monitor production lines to achieve hourly and daily target goals (Units per Minute - UPM).

. Ensure that line leads manage and submit all necessary documentation for work orders, raw material consumption, and inventory integrity.

. Ensure accurate reporting and maintenance of inventory for raw goods and finished products.

. Collaborate with the Production Planning Team and Production Coordinator for effective communication and detailed shift recaps.

. Monitor and manage labor costs in production.

. Ensure proper use, cleanliness, and maintenance of machinery and equipment according to manufacturer recommendations.

Qualifications:

. Experience in leading a multi-line production operation.

. 3+ years of supervisory experience in a similar role.

. Strong sense of responsibility, meeting deadlines, and timely follow-up.

. Proficiency in MS Office365 with solid computer skills.

. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

. Ability to train a diverse team of workers.

. Initiative-taking with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

. Competent in managing comprehensive documents and processes efficiently.

. Ability to lift 25-35 pounds.

Education and Experience:

. High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in a related field preferred.

. 3+ years of experience in a production or supervisory role in a similar environment.

Physical Requirements:

. Ability to stand and move throughout the facility for extended periods.

. Ability to lift and carry up to 25-35 pounds.

. Manual dexterity for operating machinery and handling inventory.
