Candidates should have experience with a diverse patient population, including all age ranges from infants to geriatric patients. This role requires the ability to manage complex diagnoses and provide emergency care for various conditions. Every other weekend and required holidays are part of the scheduling. Floating within the specialty is required, and travelers must be comfortable with this requirement. Candidates will work a 3x12 hour shift from 19:00 to 07:30. The average daily census is approximately 130 patients, with a bed capacity of 47. Strong skills in managing critical situations, including but not limited to, acute psychosis, drug overdoses, and respiratory infections are essential. Additional skills required include administration of emergency medications, phlebotomy, and managing ventilated patients. Interdisciplinary support is available from various specialized services such as physical therapy and pharmacy. All applicants should be prepared to adapt to the needs of a rapidly changing emergency environment. This position requires dedication to patient care and a proactive approach to emergency medical situations.
