Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required as Scheduled

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting serving all age ranges from infant to geriatric
• Manage a varied and complex patient diagnosis caseload within a high-volume ED environment
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4 across a 47-bed department with an average daily census of 130
• Float within the Emergency Room specialty as required
• Adhere to scheduled shifts including every other weekend and holidays as they fall

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a valid Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room experience (2 years preferred); first-time travelers with strong ER skills and experience will be considered
• Current BLS certification – American Heart Association only
• Current ACLS certification – American Heart Association only
• Current PALS certification – American Heart Association only
• CPI certification (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor), NIH Stroke Scale certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Two or more years of Emergency Room nursing experience in a high-volume or complex ED setting
• Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Room specialty
• Comfort and flexibility with floating within scope and specialty without restrictions
