About the Position

This role requires experience with complex diagnoses and varied patient presentations. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:4. Experience with various emergency situations is essential. The patient population includes individuals of all age ranges, from infants to geriatrics. All weekend shifts are required on an every-other-weekend basis. Holiday shifts will be scheduled as needed. The candidate must be prepared to float within the specialty as required. No pre-scheduled on-call duties are necessary for this position. A strong skill set in emergency care, including administration of emergency medications, is required. Candidates should demonstrate competency in critical thinking and prioritization skills. The nursing team will work closely with interdisciplinary support services. Knowledge of charting systems, especially Epic, is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills and an ability to manage violent behavior are necessary. Experience in handling diverse patient diagnoses, including trauma, medical emergencies, and behavioral health conditions is crucial. The role may involve procedural sedation administration and monitoring. Candidates are expected to uphold high standards of patient care and safety.
